Import Export Budget: What to expect in 2019

We all are waiting for the Budget 2019 and specifically for the import export budget announcements for the year. The Federation of India Exporters Association, renowned as FIEO has requested the Indian Government to consider the different measures for the Indian import and export industry before announcing the budget.

The measures that we would also like to bring to notice to the Indian government are:

  • Employment linked income tax benefit
  • Export development fund with a corpus of 0.5% of export value for all industries
  • Encourage domestic manufacturing

Last month, MSME Minister Nitin Gadkari had said that the ‘MSME sector offers huge potential and the government is ready to come out with special policies to promote import-substitute products.’
